Everton face Nottingham Forest this weekend, but it's kicking off slightly earlier than anticipated.

It's a massive game at the bottom of the table, with a draw no good for either side after their points deductions for breaking financial rules.

Therefore, you would expect both teams to go for it as the Premier League relegation battle intensifies.

Plenty of fans will want to tune into the game, but they'll have to double-check the kick-off time before they settle down...

Why is Everton vs Forest kicking off early?

Everton are set to welcome Nottingham Forest to Goodison Park this Sunday, April 21.

Kick-off is scheduled for 1:30pm, which is unusual because Premier League games on a Sunday usually start at 2pm or 4:30pm.

However, because the match has been selected for TV broadcast, Sky Sports appear to have modified the kick-off time.

It's unclear why they've decided to change the time from the usual 2pm slot.

Sometimes, kick-off times are changed in conjunction with the police, but in Everton's statement about the match being selected for TV coverage, there was no mention of the police.

The game is set to be broadcast on Sky Sports, with their coverage set to start at 12:30pm.

Everton's Merseyside rivals Liverpool are also playing later that day against Fulham.

That game hasn't been moved and is scheduled to kick off at the normal time of 4:30pm.

But Manchester United v Coventry City in the FA Cup semi-finals has been moved to 3:30pm so this may have had an impact on the Goodison clash.

This is one of many weird kick-offs in the Premier League this weekend, with two games set for 3pm starts on a Sunday.
