Declan Rice sends four-word message to Bukayo Saka straight after Arsenal’s win at Tottenham Hotspur

Arsenal kept their Premier League title hopes alive with a nervy 3-2 victory over rivals Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners headed across North London in search of a big three points – and that is exactly what they got..

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg’s own goal put Arsenal ahead with Bukayo Saka cutting inside to slot home a second on the counter-attack.

Kai Havertz headed in number three as Tottenham’s set-piece woes continues, seemingly killing the game off before half time.

Cristian Romero brought Tottenham back into it as David Raya dropped an absolute clanger, sparking new momentum behind the Spurs comeback attempt.

Son Heung-min’s penalty then left Arsenal with a nervy finish, but they managed to get over the line with a 3-2 victory.

Arsenal fans will be a mixture of delighted and relieved, but it’s now over to Manchester City to try and follow suit with a win over Nottingham Forest this afternoon.

Declan Rice message to Bukayo Saka after Arsenal win

Arsenal’s two England superstars had a big impact on this game.

Saka put the corner in for Hojbjerg’s own goal before adding a goal of his own with a textbook finish whilst cutting in on his left foot.

Declan Rice set up the Havertz goal with a superb corner and was outstanding throughout, although did give away the penalty with a kick on Ben Davies.

This was Rice’s first North London derby victory and it will certainly mean a lot to him.

Rice took to Instagram to send a message to Saka straight after the game as the winger celebrated a big win.

Saka noted that North London is Arsenal’s ‘always and forever’, leaving Rice to reply with just four words.

‘Let them keep talking’ said Rice, with Arsenal continuing to prove their doubters wrong and leave Spurs trailing behind.

Rice and Saka have been outstanding all season long and they were certainly impressive against Tottenham too.

If Arsenal are going to win the league, Rice and Saka will have to play vital roles.

They stepped up on Sunday afternoon and there could yet be a huge finish to the season for both players before they head to Euro 2024.
