Denzel Dumfries' contract talks at Inter Milan have stalled and Manchester United are monitoring the situation.

The 28-year-old has a deal with the Serie A giants until 2025, but reports in Italy suggest that there are no signs of an extension being reached anytime soon.

The defender is said to be demanding a salary of £4.3million-per-year to stay at Inter Milan.

A report in Gazzetta Dello Sport also says that he would like a switch to Old Trafford.

talkSPORT understands that Dumfries has been a long-term target for Manchester United.

Inter Milan are understood to have tried to launch a shock swap deal involving Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Dumfries in January.

The Red Devils, however, turned down the approach.
